The first part was a talk given by an education advisor from IVE, Mr. Ng Kai Wai, who started with a quiz on testing students’ knowledge of job names. Afterwards, he quoted some statistical figures about the intake of different courses and highlighted different types of degree programmes to be offered the next year. He played two videos about the former IVE students’ feelings about the IVE courses. He further pointed out that most of IVE students could get the internship, thus acquiring valuable real-life experiences. Every year, the employment rate of the fresh graduates is over 90%, The majority of graduates can be admitted to top-up degree courses or degree courses offered by Thei and local universities. Finally, students were required to fill in a questionnaire.

  

The second part was chaired by Mr Mak explained how to apply for non-Jupas courses via E-APP with much emphasis on the benefits of the different courses offered by VTC. Students could apply for locally-accredited post-secondary programmes not covered under the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) offered by 28 tertiary institutions. They were reminded that E-APP applicants may receive conditional offers from institutions before the announcement of public examination results.
